Join the Young Friends of Dred Scott on Saturday, November 1, 2014 for the 5th Annual Young Friends of Dred Scott educational field trip, a one-of-a-kind Dred Scott Footprints Bus Tour. This custom designed trip will highlight close to 40 local, national and international memorials within the area and throughout the world. Many are unknown to most of us and we go right past some of them daily. Some are from the past and are uniquely historic. The bus tour will be narrated by descendants of Dred Scott. Special surprise guests will delight you with their stories along the way.  Lunch at an historic restaurant is included, as well as games, Q&A, raffles and great photo ops.  Seating is limited.

The Eugene Field House is partnering with the Foundation by providing free parking on their lot as the tour begins at the home of the attorney who took the Scott’s case to the Supreme Court. Meet there at 634 S. Broadway around 8:30 a.m. for a full day of fun and surprises. The comfortable coach bus provides a restroom and six video monitors. The cost of $75.00 is all inclusive for a tour you won’t soon forget.
This commemorative bus tour is a tribute to the contribution of Dred Scott to St. Louis history, in honor of our city's 250th birthday.  You will go away with new information and a renewed appreciation for the magnitude of this history.
